CleanTech Capital Advisors (CCA) has been sole financial advisor to UK company Econic Technologies on closing a £5.4 million 2nd tranche of its Series D (from Capricorn Partners, ING Bank, GC Ventures and CM Ventures), bringing the total round to £10.4 million.

Econic has developed and is commercialising its novel catalyst technology for utilising captured CO2 in everyday products via incorporation in polyurethanes, surfactants and polymers. The £5 million funding will enable Econic to deliver on its first licenced projects and build out its commercial organisation.

CleanTech Capital Advisors (CCA) has been sole financial advisor to French company Lactips SA on its €13 million funding by SPI (the industrialisation fund managed by Bpifrance Investissement) and Diamond Edge Ventures, the corporate venture fund of Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings.

Founded in 2014, Lactips develops patented materials and processes around milk proteins. These solutions provide alternatives to traditional plastics, by being water-soluble, biodegradable, gas impermeable and edible. The €13 million funding will enable Lactips to ramp-up its manufacturing capacity and commercial efforts, as well as hire key new staff.
